Do you have a hankering for something sweet? Do you want a fun family place to take your kids, your winning (or losing) team? Do you want a unique treat for your next party? Well Barstow has the place for you, Num Nums.
Q. How long have you been in business?
Num Nums was started in October 2010 by Rhonda Kamel with two goals in mind, to start a bright and happy sweet shop for the people of Barstow and for a peanut free zone for her littlest daughter Dania who has severe allergies. Dania is very important to Num Nums. When Rhonda started the business she asked her children what it should be called and they all agreed that Dania’s favorite word for food, Num Nums, should get the nod.
Q. Tell us about the products you sell.
The variety of goodies at Num Nums is unparalleled by any other store in the Barstow area. Shoppers walking in the door are greeted by a wide variety of sweets that are more than enough to satisfy any sweet tooth. Ice cream, authentic Hawaiian shaved ice, fresh baked cookies, chocolate dipped frozen bananas and their famous, delicious cake balls are just a few of the treats available.
Q. What other product or service do you offer?
Along with all the homemade treats Num Nums carries a large selection of store brand candies like suckers, jaw breakers and even some more unusual ones like chili pepper lollipops. You can also shop for candy themed gifts. Keep in mind the wrapped candies may not be peanut free.
Q. Tell us about the service you offer?
Are you planning a celebration or celebrating the big game? Then Num Nums is the place for you. Num Nums is a great place for an after game celebration. Num Nums will also arrange treats for your next celebration away from the store. Come on by or call Rhonda for items like cake ball platters or cookie plates.
Q. Is there anything else you would like to add?
Ice cream is not the only way you can cool off at Num Nums. Ask about the line of cool smoothies, shakes, and milk creams. They also carry cold drinks like the Jones Soda line of interesting and natural sodas.
